In my post of december 10, 2009 I wrote about Ruurd Wiersma (1904-1980), the Frisian outsider artist who in his later years decorated the four walls of his house in Birdaard, in this way making a quadrilateral mural of the four seasons. Ruurd Wiersma also made some 300 paintings, mainly on hard board, that made him known as a naive painter.
His house nowadays is a museum.
Local tv of Leeuwarden, the capital of Frisia, has a weekly program about local and regional features. In may 2011 they had an item about the Ruurd Wiersma museum.
Rather interesting. But it's all in dutch.
So in agreement with Dirk de Bood, author of this reportage, I made a transcript in english of the interview with the museum's guide, mrs A.de Roo, which you will find in my collection of OEE-texts.
